Walther ‘RaptoR’ Stock Photos

The laser sintering is ready, the new parts arrived today. The stock stands of these four parts, because the maximum length is 310 mm (the longest part is exactly tat much). They are extremely strong, I tried to bend one but without any visible change.

The real connection will be at the bottom of the parts, a 30×10 mm aluminium alloy block will go through the first three parts, connecting them and also containing the accessory rail for the hamster. I made some buttons on the connecting surfaces and a couple of steel pins connect them, too.

How the whole stock looks like. The rear half is the usual ‘RaptoR’ style half circle, and the thumb-up grip of course. The other half has got a more curvy look than my earlier RaptoRs, this time I wasn’t limited by the CNC technology.

The cheek piece and butthook go into these holes on the right, the material is flexible enough to fix them when the screws are tightened. The grip holder allows shooting ‘thumb-up’ (this is the main reason why I designed this stock). These Nylon parts are 610 grams only, and even with the aluminium rail and the screws the stock will stay below 1 kg in weight!
