I mentioned in my latest post, that an excentric sidewheel needed a linear reading mark. But it’s not fair to deprive the shooters of using my SmartPin system, if they use the Dual-Core Sidewheel in its excentric position
So I designed a special version of the SmartPin, with an adapter that replaces the moving part with the pins. This part is wider and can hold a flat linear pointer. It comes with a wide and long white Nylon plate, that can be cut into shape to fit to the scope body and sidewheel.
It has got pre-printed grooves so it’s easier to make a parallel cut on the long side. Of course you can use any other material up to 1 mm thickness, e.g. old phone card, plastic or metal plate. In this case, you can use the original plate as a template for the holes and cuts in the middle area. The plate is dyed black but the cut surfaces will be shiny white, so it will be easy to read the scope.
A few more 3D visuals… The new pointer can be ordered as a variation of SmartPin Pointer.
